Refunds & Returns

If you’ve changed your mind about keeping your purchase, please return it in its original condition with proof of purchase and we’ll exchange or refund it.

Unless faulty, this should be within 30 days of receiving your order. By original condition, we’d expect this to mean that you’ve kept packaging and labels, and that the item is undamaged and unused.

Once returned, we’ll refund the person who originally placed and paid for the order. When returning your item, the way you originally paid will determine how we refund you.

12-month Return To Base Warranty

All refurbished equipment that Recompute sell, is covered by our standard warranty (unless you have selected a longer warranty period on your order). Under this guarantee, Recompute will, either repair, give a replacement of equivalent quality or refund the buyer for any goods found to be defective by reason of faulty materials or poor workmanship.

A refund can be obtained for an item that is found to be faulty. Please return the faulty item to our warehouse including:

  • – A valid receipt/proof of purchase
  • – Within 12 months of purchase
  • – In the same condition in which it was bought

Payment methods

We accept many different types of payment. You can use a combination of gift vouchers and any payment card we accept to pay for your order. The full list of available payment methods includes:

  • – Visa and MasterCard (including pre-paid cards)
  • – PayPal
  • – ZimSwitch
  • – EcoCash
  • – Telecash
  • – One Money

Promotional codes

If you acquire a coupon, discount or promotional discount code, it’s valid for use online only at, and not in person or by phone, unless otherwise stated.
The following conditions apply:

  • – For the promotional code to be valid, a valid product must be added to your basket
  • – Only one promotional code can be used per transaction
  • – If you have more than one promotional code, you may place separate orders
  • – Orders must be made prior to 23:59 hours on the closing date
  • – No cash alternative is available
  • – All offers are subject to stock availability

Our grading system


Occasionally we will have new equipment available from overstock.  All new items will be advertised as such.

Grade A

A-Grade equipment is fully operational and provided with our 12 month warranty. This has been fully refurbished and cleaned. As used equipment, there may be small signs of use such as keyboard wear or small scratches/scuffs on the plastics/casing.

Grade B

Some of our products will be listed as B-Grade, these are fully operational and are provided with our 12 month warranty. These have been fully refurbished and cleaned. These items would show more signs of wear and could have:

  • Multiple scratches/scuffs to the casing
  • Signs of heavier wear on the palm rest or keyboard
  • Screen bruising
  • May have scratches / marks on screen, however this will not affect performance
  • Rubber feet maybe missing
  • Can’t guarantee all blanking plates will be with PCs

These are all cosmetic issues and in no way affect the operation of the equipment.
